One of the arguments used to refute the value of a sacrifice is sacrifices are not 100% guaranteed. No ballplayer could last 24 seasons if their hitting was not competitive. A competitive offensive career and a stellar defensive career should hopefully equal Hall of Fame Enshrinement for Omar Vizquel.
